On August 31, 2020, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Construction and the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) held the Ceremony for transferring the State capital represented rights at 04 Corporations: Song Da, Building Materials No. 1 (FiCO), Vietnam Water and Environment Investment (VIWASEEN), Vietnam Construction Consultant (VNCC) from Ministry of Construction to SCIC under the Decision. No. 908/ QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Sinh – Deputy Minister of Construction; Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh – SCIC’s Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; Representatives of Innovation and Development Committee, the State Capital Management Committee at the enterprise, and Leaders of 04 transferred Corporations.
The transfer of state capital at the 04 Corporations has important implications, demonstrating the determination of the Ministry of Construction, SCIC and Corporations in implementing Decision 908 / QD-TTg dated June 29, 2020 of the Prime Minister.
Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh said that, implementing the general policies of the Communist Party and the Government during the last time, all works between the Ministry of Construction and SCIC has been clarified in the spirit of ensuring not to disrupt production and business activities of the enterprise, to comply with the current regulations.
The transferred corporations this time are all corporations with a long history with the Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh expressed his wish, under the management of the state capital of SCIC, the Corporations will operate better, meet the orientation of the State and enterprises, and increase the value of state capital at the enterprise.
On behalf of SCIC Corporation, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh thanked to the Ministry of Construction for its interest, direction and active supports in the process of transferring to SCIC. SCIC will be responsible for following the direction and leadership of the Ministry of Construction to the 04 aforementioned corporations, coordinating with the Ministry of Construction and shareholders to apply corporate governance in the best way based on the principles of market economy, ensuring the state capital is preserved and increased.
