VIWASEEN reports Investment plan for Water Supply System in Expanded Dung Quat Economic Zone.
On 9th October, 2009, at the office of People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province, Investor Consortium including Vietnam Water Supply Sewerage and Environment Construction Investment (VIWASEEN) – MOC, Quang Ngai Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Company and Quang Ngai Water Supply Sewerage Company and Quang Ngai Construction Department made a report to People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province, relevant local authorities and Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone on investment plan for Water Supply System in Expanded Dung Quat EZ
With the target of stable, unshakable, long term water supply to households and industry in compliance with Plan of socio-economic development of Quang Ngai province as well as Expanded Dung Quan EZ and surrounding resident areas, Investors has proposed Investment plan for construction of Water Supply System in the form of BOO (Build – Own - Operation) project with capacity of 300,000 m3 per day divided in three stages as follows:
+ Stage No.1: shall be completed in 2015 with capacity of 50,000m3/day
+ Stage No.2: shall be completed in 2020 with capacity of 150,000m3/day
+ Stage No.3: shall be completed in 2025 with capacity of 300,000m3/day
Total investment cost for stage No.1 shall be about 400 billion VND.
At the report, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hue – Chairman of People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province highly appreciated investment plant that the Consortium reported and agreed to assign the Consortium and the relevant local authorities, Management Board of Dung Quat EZ to study and propose favor procedures for the Investors in accordance with recent regulations from the Government and Quang Ngai as well as coordinate in project implementation.
